Red March is an innovative indie RTS game. We aim to implement a combination of old-school RTS gameplay on large scale maps, showing realistic battles and using an immersive storyline to capture the feeling of the last world war. Concieved as a cure to the recent trend of oversimplification of strategy games and the dilution of their portrayal of war, Red March intends to combine the fast-paced and frantic gameplay of old-school games, such as Command and Conquer, and combine it with the innovative concepts of more recent games which have become standard, such as infantry cover systems and destructible scenery.
The setting: An alternate universe largely similar to ours. The year is 1969. Mankind is divided into a handful of powerful military and political powers. Insane politicans and feverish paranoia rule the world. The Cold War is coming to a close, and it will come to an end with fire and blood. Prepare yourselves; That end is nigh.
Red March is a direct descendant of the Red Alter mod.
Hello everyone! It’s Watcher and I have a lot of news for you.
As you can see from our recent activity, we are back in business. The Red Alter mod has been revived and developed in its own direction. The development of Red March received a reboot and is also gradually moving forward. Both projects have overlapping content due to their common origin. However, our progress is moving very slowly.
Thanks to fresh blood in the team, we can show something new. Yes, we understand that these are far from the best models that can be done. Our team is still very small and composed of very inexperienced people (no offense, guys). We still really need experienced people, especially 3d artists.

In addition, thanks to a donation from my old friend Adair Tokunov, I was able to request new concept art by TugoDoomer. We want to come up with a unique tank design for the main Soviet tank, but this is a difficult task.

Also, we created a page on Patreon! If you want to support us, be sure to look at it!
Visual content archives
Recently, I have analyzed all the remaining assets of the project since 2010. Unfortunately, not everything survived, many models were lost. Nevertheless, I finally uploaded almost all of the drawings that were made for the project. Among them, there are many stupid sketches of the strangest ideas made in different periods of project development. Because of potential problems with copyright, some of the concept art for Red March had to be purged of elements that could cause problems. In addition, I uploaded almost all of the renders and beautiful screenshots that I had. These are many images that have not been previously uploaded.
I divided them into two parts: the Red Alter period and the Red March period.
[Red Alter] Public art gallery.
[Red Alter] Screnshots and renders.

New side project
I, TugoDoomer and our friends are working together on a completely new side project called Interbellum. It was originally conceived as a commercial prospect and possible for realization by our limited forces within our capabilities. I am sure that he will like all those who are interested in the WWI aesthetics. On his success depends the fate of Red March. And this project also have own Patreon page with many lore articles and cool art. More content is coming up. Soon we will make a very important announcement.

Have a nice winter, folks!
Greetings to all who continue to follow this project! It’s been over a year since our last update and, perhaps, it's time to tell you the latest news...
A brief update on the status of Red March's development on today, Victory Day.
It's that (not that cold) time of year again! We update you with what's been going on this year, and our top suggestions for Indie of the Year 100.
December has come and we're ready to publish our new update! Unfortunately, the development process is very slow, and the whole team have lots to contend...
Awsome looking forword to the game a couple of questions
1.Will you be having Multiply races?
2.Will you need any command and conquer to play it or will this be a new game?
3.Are you going to have a Skermish,Challenges, and campaign mode?
4.Will you be having a alien sort of race?(like the scrin from command and conquer 3) or anything like that?
5.Is there any reason why you'r not going to kick-starter since in's the better option than Indigo since alout of people know it?
1) There are we currently developing three factions that will definitely be in the game: United Nations, Warsaw Pact and third unrevealed faction. In addition, in the game universe left the possibility of a further three factions (which is likely to include in hypothetical addon).
2) No. Red march - this is a completely new and separate game based on the legacy of our old project - Red Alter mod (was based on C&C 3: Tiberium Wars). Red March developed on a separate engine that is not related to other games, has its own original content and just inspired by the C&C series.
3) Of course, comrade!
4) This game is about the Cold War, but... Since in the plot of the game uses many of myths of 20th century related to science, technology and military, then... Something that will come, but only in the background. Although... I can't really answer affirmatively or negatively to this question.
5) On Kickstarter projects could be laid only if the team had an account in a U.S. bank, and, more recently, the UK. Since almost the entire team is made up of residents of ex-USSR, we could only choose Indiegogo.
But last fall, we were joined by a comrade from the UK and now we can use Kickstarter.

I KNEW you were only after me for the money Watcher...
The march begins...We will crush the capitalist pig comrades! To war!

Just an appropriate song...
This and Rogue Republic, now we have two promising RTS games, that's awesome.
It's also awesome that both of you are using pyrogenesis, created by indies, being used by indies, and it seems like an awesome engine.
Now, we shall march together comrades, and it seems like the march has gone global.
Thanks! We shall indeed be trying to march all over the world, but Pyrogenesis is not as yet our final choice of engine, though it certainly does look beautiful!
Tracking. Looking very nice indeed, I like ths style. Good luck!
Looking good so far!
My only concern is that some of the concepts, especially for the Alliance, look a bit too high-tech for the time period. Granted it's your show and you can do whatever you want with it, but if I had a say I'd prefer a more...I dunno, 'deiselpunk' aesthetic. Gonzo technology does have its place, but things like composite materials, bullpup firearms, the Merkava-inspired tank, and the like just seem jarring.
Just my two cents.
And tracking! We need more classic RTS!
Also, thanks for tracking us, it really does help. Welcome to the march, comrade!
You raise a valid point, but I would dispute that to a certain extent, in particular in the field of bull-pups, some of which were produced as prototypes or indeed entered full production before Red March's time frame, such as the Korobov TKB-022 and the British EM-2 respectively.
That said, the aesthetic of Dieselpunk is something we are very much pushing for with our factions, and you can expect to see a great deal more of it, though more so in the PACT forces than the UN. (Don't worry, we also have some plot explanations for this too.)
Tracked the heck out of it.
Welcome to the March comrade. We highly commend your dedication to the cause to march the whole way on your hands.
I will do my utmost comrade! *Promptly starts marching on hands*
