Quantum Frame started out as a short Manga series I was creating around the end of 2011. Eventually I forgot about it and worked on other projects, but towards the end of 2012 I decided to give it another shot. The game is a direct mirror of the planned Manga, you follow the main character Rex through his adventures in the universe as a Quantum Cop, who protects the universe from any time/space fabrications, as well as maintaining balance with an alternative universe directly connected to his. I don't want to go into too much detail on the story, as the game is supposed to be a simple Arcade shooter with next to no backstory. When the game is finished, you will know who Rex is in more detail, you will know the universe and the setting a little better, but then the rest of the game will just be a selection of missions he undergoes in the eventual Manga. For now, just enjoy it as a sci-fi arcade horizontal shooter, inspired by the likes of R-Type amongst other great games.

Description

A Demo of an early Beta build. All main features in place, just needing to make "more" of what's already there. The game will be free to play, and will be available for all kinds of non-commercial usage, leaving it free to mod or use to make your own missions and re-distribute under the Creative Commons License. All assets were made under the philosophy of promoting free, open-source software. Programs used were: Graphics-Gimp; Audio-Audacity; ImageFormat-.PNG; SoundFormat-.WAV This was a project aimed at proving I could see a game through to completion (still working on it), and to prove you could make a game for free without having to buy any software or pay royalties (only gamemaker was purchased in essence).
