Is there a way to run this on modern ports? Trying with Echoes of the Past in Q2XP mod, not working says Server killed. The Armageddon Device cant even run Setup says PC doesnt support.
No. Quake II game logic is written in C and must be built for a specific engine/platform.
I had no issue using these with modern source ports. The only common one that might be problematic is KMQuake II since it isn't compatible with the old 3.20 gamex86.dll - but many of these do not even have a dll so would be still fine.
