Enjoyed the sinister atmosphere the game creates. I don't get the appeal of the Professor Layton formula - which this game unabashedly follows right down to the hint system - unless you just like to have some character and atmosphere to frame your brain-teasers. The puzzles here, though, aren't so great as to be anything more than forgettable, so the framing device is all that's appealing making it feel a bit anemic, especially since the story ends so abruptly and at a cliffhanger. Really should only be sold bundled with the sequel at this point, since the game doesn't feel quite whole by itself.
