I heard that in Left 4 Dead 2, the string lights from the Dark Carnival were actually particles. I'm wondering if the same is true of at least some of those hanging vines spanning the chamber.
Nope. Ive seen the videos. The vines are animated as well as their shadows. Unless valve is pulling some wierd tricks, those are actual props.
how is the portal still active?
Glados is testing you. Besides, doesn't everyone know that portals are made of magic?

im gona lol of some one enters this part of the game right in this room and shoots an orange portal on the skybox and gets out of the facility and im sure bugs like this apeard in the beta tests but this pic looks realy great but i thing the Source engine needs an update that makes better nature parts like the tree's in EP2 but all tree's are green :D
