This addon will allow you to replace the gun from Portal 2 with the original model (and sounds!) from Portal 1. Now updated with new sounds!
Contains:
VPK file with Portal 1 model and animations
Script to change the original sounds to the Portal 1 sounds already contained in the files.

v1.1: A newscript was created to add more sounds, as well as a fix for the .vpk.
How to install:
1. Extract the contents of the .rar (though, if you're reading this, you've probably already done that.)
2. Open portal2_dlc3 (if you don't have it, make it.)
3. Place the .vpk into this file.
4. Put the scripts into this folder.
5. That's all! Open the game and enjoy!
Update: Introducing the ZIP version of this file, which will allow you to access this file without WinRAR!
All you need to do is extract from the .zip file, and follow the same installation instructions above.

great addon! my addon did opposite of what yours did, it got portal 2 gun, animations, and sounds, and made it for portal 1 XD
A minor note I forgot to add about this: the world model is kinda wonky, and it doesn't visually appear in the correct place. Don't worry, this doesn't affect the game, and the hitbox to pick it up is the same, but it certainly looks odd.
Well, the worldmodels for both guns are exactly the same, they just have different orientations
