So what is the beam of energy around Rattata supposed to be? Focus Energy? Is it leveling up? Is it evolving? (Well, it is level 1, but still...)

Why would pokemon not be allowed to evolve thats one of the many great things about pokemon watching them grow and develop to help you in your dream to become a pokemon master so why would they leave out something as beautiful as a pokemon evolving.
well they have to evolve. if there was no such thing as evolving in pokemon how would you get more? also how would u get the eevee evolutions if u cant evolve them? so there. theres your answer.
You should have the effects be resized based on the pokemon's bounding volume.

When I look at that rattata I think about my childhood 5 years ago, all those dead slashed and burned rattatas trying to get my charmader charo to lvl 9. Sniff.

Good job on the new trees. Although they could use some better uvw mapping in some places. Same goes for the cliffs btw. Gotta have those textures a little more uniform with less stretching.
