Pioneer is a space adventure game set in the Milky Way galaxy at the turn of the 31st century. The game is open-ended, and you are free to explore the millions of starsystems in the game. You can land on planets, slingshot past gas giants, and burn yourself to a crisp flying between binary star systems. You can try you hand at piracy, make your fortune trading between systems, or do missions for the various factions fighting for power, freedom or self-determination.

A star port in St. Louis? Hm, judging by the condition and demographics of the city right now, I don't think we'll be ready to build a star port in three hundred years. Ditto for London and Paris!

LOL. Well I cant speak for St. Louis commodorefork, but certainly London & Paris might need to to some extensive city remodelling to accommodate any future starports :)

I always imagined that in the future there would be so little space on the planet many big structures like airports would be on the water.

Description

Here we have a shot of the Earth, so what you might think? Well if you look closely at the picture you will see many starports showing up on the surface. This is a result of Marcel's ongoing Home Towns mod for Pioneer. Thats right, if you drop in your location to this thread on the SSC Spacesimcentral.com Marcel will look it up to get its co-ordinates and then place a fully functional spaceport were you live! He updates this as the Alphas progress and as you can imagine it's quite populated now. So a wee word of warning, if you have a slower computer you might want to delete some of the locations from the script to get your framerate back up again.
