In lieu of releasing this game early, I wanted to talk about something that has been very important to me since the beginning of this project. As a student, indie developer, I currently cannot afford the $100 USD UDK license fee. Since I can't legally charge for the game (which I never planned to do anyway), I would appreciate it if the people who may (or may not!) find my game entertaining contribute to a charity of some sort. The choice of charity is yours, and of course, there's absolutely no obligation to do so! If you are inclined however, here's a few that I would recommend considering:
Child's Play Charity - Money goes towards providing video games and consoles to sick children in hospitals
Brain and Behavior Research Foundation - Money goes towards aiding those with Mental Illnesses
Save the Children - Proceeds go towards helping children in every facet of life, from education to protection
If you do decide to throw some money at a charity, leave a message! I'd be very, very happy to hear from you, and would let me rest easy knowing that this project was worth more than a resume entry!
