Was about to give this game a try after picking it up from the IndieGameStand sale. Installed just fine, but it won't launch at all for me. Tried verifying it and that made no difference. If it helps any I am on Linux Mint 15 (64bit for both os and Desura install).
According to the terminal output it seems that it can't find libGLU: "error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
I have it installed on my system, but I did notice that there isn't a copy of libGLU within the Desura install's own lib folder, so not sure if that could be the issue.
In the terminal, using "locate libGLU" shows several entries for libGLU in my file system and desura install path. If you don't have it there you can always link one from your root file system using "ln -s [existing libGLU path/name] [link path/name]"
And of course remove any " marks and [ ] before running the command.
Ya, I know how to symlink, and actually had already tried that, as well as just copying a few different versions of libGLU from some other games I have installed elsewhere to a few different places within my Desura dir, but it was no good, in some cases it would complain that it was the 64bit version and when using others it still acted like it couldn't find a copy.
This game really doesn't look like it is worth my effort to get it running so I am just going to forget about it for a week or two (at least till there has been another update) and then try again. Real shame too, as I had a few other people asking me what I thought about it when I said I picked it up and now I've really got nothing good to tell them yet.
Despite what I had said, I decided to try one more thing. I had just moved from Kubuntu to Mint a day or two ago and it dawned on me that I have not had a reason to install ia32-libs yet, so gave that a try and now the game launches at least.
I was about to suggest that next.
May have spoke too soon about this launching. It shows the High Class Kitsch splash and then promptly crashes there after without giving any errors in the terminal.
Same for me on archlinux 64 bit with a ati HD6950,crash after the logo
i got this on the terminal:
*** Error in `./Pandora': corrupted double-linked list: 0x0bafeab0 ***

Holy Moses this game is so buggy. Is this even supposed to happen?

Quick question, how long is this game meant to be?
I have the Desura code for this, but how do I download the full game without paying?
You can redeem it here - Indiedb.com
If you have a Desura key for this, log into your Desura account then enter the key here and click "Activate Key":
Indiedb.com
It will then be added to your Desura account and you can then download it via the Desura client or from the game page.
