Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.
Don't forget that you can help support us, try out our weekly alphas (such as the one in the video), and chat with other preorderers in the Secret Preorder Forum by preordering Overgrowth.
Be sure to watch it in HD!
The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):
- Added left-handed parameter
- Added DebugText system
- Added same-side sheathing animation
- Added animation for swapping weapons from one hand to the other
- Changed weapon system to array of 'slots'
- Scripts can query each others' array values
- Fixed problem with throwing weapons
- Hooked up the cat scabbard as a weapon

Great progress, as always
EPIC!!
I think I'll need real life combat training to be able to play this game. Looks pretty advanced :)
"Why you smiling."
"Because I know something you don't."
"What's that?"
"I'm not left handed."
Epic movie :D
Best comment ever. (also best sword fighting scene in movie history)
"Oh, there's something I ought to tell you.
...Neither am I!"
is that game made out of nothing?
yep
SEINFELD: THE GAME
Looks really great, good job.
Must save up money to finally support this!!!
(buried)
Eh needs to be 20% cooler
And now to code in some daggers strapped on his chest... and the knife straps strapped onto his legs... and two blades in his boots... and that shiv he caries where the sun don't shine.
this guy can do all this but infinity ward can't make a ******* descent game?
Dirty barepawfeet.
This game'll rock
I have to say that I really enjoy the level design and the absolutely awesome skydomes. For example in the video where you show the cliffs it seems a little bit blocky but I like that synthesis of awesome landscapes and some blocky and semi-cultural elements. It gives the whole a game a mystic and mythological touch. Great great work on this!
