Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.
Don't forget that you can help support us, try out our weekly alphas (such as the one in the video), and chat with other preorderers in the Secret Preorder Forum by preordering Overgrowth.
Be sure to watch it in HD!
The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):
- Separated hotspot scripts from level script
- Added 'displaytext' so hotspots can display messages
- Changed hotspot collision to work precisely with bounding box
- Fixed missing Steam app id in installer
- Progress towards Linux alpha
- Script GUI windows fade in and out smoothly
- Awesomium views only display after texture is processed (no garbage)
- Fixed projected shadows on surfaces without baked shadows
Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC and the forums.
Also, feel free to support us by preordering Overgrowth!

when that last guy killed him i half expected the sword that went flying to whack him on the head
Damage from physical collisions = hilarity ensured.
You could literally kill yourself against the wall with that.
still, it'd be nice to see complexe traps involving physics and falling objects
(like dropping a bunch of swords on a group of people)
Water? OwO
I want to see swimming bunnies, battles in ships, bunny pirates? legendaries naval battles of the kitty dinasty? the pahntom of a wolf carring a misterious treasure? Ok I am joking but it will be a nice idea really. x3
You sir.....are a genius!
cool
so, what's happening with steam integration? Any news?
I like the feel you have seeing the bunny jumping from the cliff. You can nearly feel the hight and the distance. Especially when you suffer a little bit from acrophobia. (-;
Oh no.... Instadeath on water?
nonononononononooooooooo. Please tell me that was just to test the trigger volumes.
Yay.. linux... ^^
Ehm,... your "placeholder" water looks better than water in a LOT of games!
I never heard this game before. It looks really cool, but what will be the end game?
Try lugaru to get a feel of it. It's the game that this is a sequel to. There's a free demo out on their site.
I can't wait for the linux version. I'm pre-ordering it as soon as linux version hits alpha.
