The fight for survival is on! OverDose is a class, team & objective based multiplayer game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. With gameplay in the tradition of classic games such as Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory, melded with up to date gameplay mechanics and movement, OverDose is a unique blend of online action, team play and of course, lots of gore. Using id tech 2 as a base, OverDose features updated engine features like full real time lighting and shadow mapping, physically based rendering, particle and physics simulations and more. Plus, in classic id Software tradition, our engine and game are fully moddable and scriptable, meaning even amateur mod makers can bring their own creations to life with ease. This isn't war... It's an all out apocalypse!
Lister: Where is everyone Hol?

Lister: Rimmer?
Holly: He's dead Dave, everybody's dead, everybody is dead Dave.
Lister: Wait, are you trying to tell me everybody's dead?
Holly: Shouldn't have let him out in the first place!
Very realistic lighting! You guys rock in the texture department! Awesomeness!
awesome, but that barrel with fire looks odd in ful size.
also funny Description :D
yepp - it's like the base of the flame / the point where it "starts" is visible through the hole... beside that - just pure awesome! ;D
I'm not sure the flame is bad - it's the floating bits of metal in the can that look a bit odd. Obviously a minor thing compared to the rest of the scene, though.
Niiiceeee *-* Like always!
If I'm the only one who gets the Red Dwarf references then...you all suck. >:0
no, you can count me as a dwarfer ;) the rest are just smeg-heads.
and me too
Same
Rimmer: Remember, only the good die young.
Death: Its never worked that way before...
One of the funniest lines I have heard.
Don't worry, you're not :)
Goodbye, Dave
Wow, this game looks like it will have better graphics than any game has ever had before. It almost looks like the real deal but sadly it isnt ;).
is it an actual ingame shot or was this "staged"? i am wondering if you guys have some sort of ragdoll.
It was ingame, yes. But it was staged to the extent the player model was placed there. Also, as this is a menu scene, the particle effects ingame will be 10000x better.
Yeeeesh.... Now All you need is a preorder link on Steam and Im sold =)
that door doesn't look like it could close, a single one seems to fit the entire opening
Thats called FOV 90, and its a twat. The doors obviously measure up. I knew I shouldn't have posted this, its already outdated, what with the wet effects, foliage and ****.
Thought we said we'd use 80..
This was a UI shot, and the FOV is still undecided, but yeah its likely 90 is defo out. It won't be anything as insane as CODs 65 or Crysis 2's 55, mind you... 80 is about the sweet spot.
field of view ...
normal 120° (in real) ... a monitor is flat so the most game set it to 90 (oldschool) ... cause on a flat monitor 120° ´re looking fishlook like.
crysis @ cod are making **** with the 65/55° ... that looks for me like i have zoomed in (also in movement) ...
and that ******* motionblur ... it looks like a lot of drinks ;)
the first game that used that technic to much was need for speed.
...
and Overdose is rockin !
(the graph ... havent played ;)
but i think it would be also nice to play. )
...
do u plan a sandbox for the game ???
levelediting wanna be much faster then ! ^^
peace
Niiiiice !
loving the red dwarf quote ^^
