Man why are you bashing this perfectly good sniper? It looks like a beefed up, and slightly futuristic .50cal sniper to me, it looks perfect!

I think you need to re-read the plot of OverDose a little closer, and see that this weapon does indeed fit perfectly.

this sniper would have obviously been a weapon left over from human civilization. it fits the mod perfectly.
it's set in the future but, as gavavva said below, development of technology stopped in 2012 which means there are no laser guns.
Agreed but just saying that u could take inspiration from metro 2033 but that is my view, it might have more character if u gave it a rough look and u did have those amazing rifles/guns in the concept art, understandably some times you must take your ideas down a notch but this is just my view.
But never the less it is a great model im sure once its textured it will look great. keep up the great work

OverDose isn't a sci fi game though, so clearly you haven't understand the design the game has. The key point to understand is that the world pretty much stops at 2012. OverDose may be set in the future, but that doesn't mean there are flying cars and robot slaves. If the world was to stop in 3 years time, what would happen? Chances are, people would scavenge to find what they can, and improve on it in the most basic of ways. Seeing as OverDose is split between two very different factions, I can hardly see either side having rocket scientists working for them to make better weapons.
It makes much more sense to say "here is the world as it was, and this is the world as it is now. Everything is damaged, old, destroyed, everything isn't second hand, its more like eight hand".
Hell at least we have SOME ground in reality and what could happen. Look at Killzone 2. In that game, the main weapon is using a scope that’s available today, yet the game is set hundreds of years in the future when either side has VERY advanced technology...
So at least OverDose is grounded in that respect.
So while I thank you for the comment that you don't think it fits the world "WE" have made, I have to also say that "WE" think it does, because of the reasons posted. I’ll let other people comment on this further and see what people think, but as it stands, the weapon is perfectly suited. What would you have us use then, Ray guns? :p
But then if humans are figthing aganist enemyes then they should improve weapons.If iam a leader of my survived group of people i would search for scientiests and i cant find them then i will try to modifie weapon.Also dont make any muntants who have very large arm.Because then its not anything except horror survival game.Please tell the modeler that he make a little better sniper.
PS:Searh on world guns.ru about Croatian Sniper RT-20(RT-21 because they dont updated about sniper RT),Its a good big calibre sniper.Maybe modeler could make smaller version and a little difrience look.

I'm pretty sure unknowncybrog999 is just another one of Tactical_Machine's accounts. He keeps getting banned over and over but just makes a new account each time. Now onto the subject of the rifle, I honestly think it looks great. My only problem with it is what seems to be the silencer. For that caliber of bullet you'd need a considerably larger silencer. But aside from that I like it.

Sniper with supression? You'd need one mayor barrel to surpress that bang. What kind of ammo does it fire? You can make the Caliber larger perhaps or change the scope and front, which looks like a supressor from a small arms, now.
Hello people im Cap_Hotkill modeler and texture artist from team blur, first of all silencer is big enough :P, the Caliber is 50 just like the Barrets.
The Silencer or Suppressor is Swapable with the "Hammer Head" recoil Absorber, obviously when you use the silencer you get a less Accuarate shot.
And btw, its "Perspective" view of the rifle, obviously that makes the silencer look Small from that Point of view.

the thing is, the rifle body is all edgy and looks really sci-fi, whereas the scope and the silencer look like they are from some other, older rifle. They don't fit the design. The silencer looking too small is only part of the flaw, as the flaw lies in its design.
I'd like to see this one with the hammerhead absorber, as I believe that is going to add to the blocky shape?!
dont Judge a model by the perspective of it, the Silence looks more modern than common silencers, and you must think that a Silencer doesnt has anything tecnological on it, its just a Pipe with Rings and Chambers inside. and for the Scope, well, its just a High poly model, wait for the Finished model and you will see the final result. textures make alot in a model.
