The fight for survival is on! OverDose is a class, team & objective based multiplayer game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. With gameplay in the tradition of classic games such as Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory, melded with up to date gameplay mechanics and movement, OverDose is a unique blend of online action, team play and of course, lots of gore. Using id tech 2 as a base, OverDose features updated engine features like full real time lighting and shadow mapping, physically based rendering, particle and physics simulations and more. Plus, in classic id Software tradition, our engine and game are fully moddable and scriptable, meaning even amateur mod makers can bring their own creations to life with ease. This isn't war... It's an all out apocalypse!
This is a work in progress screenshot. No decals, map models or effects are shown at this time, and thus the screen appears quite under detailed. The map will also have a foliage pass on it, so it will be full of ivy, shrubs and the like.
Awesome...lol
Kick-***
Looking kick-***!!
Impressive!
so is overdose basing maps off rtcw because that looks amazing
I'm not a mapper, I'm a bit **** at it to be fair, so I wanted to make something I can not so much copy, but more so "evolve" from, you know? OverDose can have as many new maps as people want (Once people start mapping for it other than me) but atm, I wanted something I could get done a little easier without thinking about balance etc. Its all already done, see.
its ok i really like it as it gives me a sense of nostalgia as i used to play Wolfenstien Enemy Territory alot. Its also interesting and unique recreation as you said an evolution it was one of the reasons i have watched overdose from the start back when u reimagined the shed on ET's fueldump map
Seeing some of the details, I was surprised to see in the description that you haven't applied decals yet.
A little lacking in static meshes, but otherwise it looks good.
Did we read...? Its like, it says in two places....?
Oops... I just noticed these pics were taken on lower quality than Ultra, and no bloom... :p
