A rich noblewoman, Zara, is banished from her home after violating her soon to be arranged marriage with another house. Zara befriends Liana, a tribal Aetessi woman who agrees to help her find rare and expensive artifacts, as long as she pays her. The duo venture into the dangerous alien world of Kivos, to make their fortune. The world is in turmoil, as they live in a time of fuedalism, kings, lords, and bandits.
