You have the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty. Tamriel's previous emperor has been slain, and with no true ruler the gates to Oblivion open and demons begin to invade the people and towns of the empire. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

This was a big disappointment for me, especially after playing Morrowind. Generic fantasy world which contradicts Cyrodiil's depiction in lore books and storyline about a BIG EVIL trying to destroy the world, shallow sidequests lacking freedom of choice (that one quest in Anvil that makes you kill the 'vilain' even tho she's highly likeable ;-;), there are a few exceptions, like Hackdirt town, but it's too little. There are less skills to choose from and that awful auto-leveling that makes random bantits wear daedric armours. Not to mention ridiculously small cities closed inside the walls. And the graphics, oh ****, why does everyone look like a talking potato?
Knights of the Nine DLC pack is also worth 7/10 for me, while Shivering Isles deserves 9/10, because it's simply awesome and it shows what this game should've been from the very beginning.

The Elder scrolls is one of the best game series in the world! It is a great RPG, but it is a little simplified from Morrowind. The quests are simple, but great. The graphics is better than Morrowind and are easier to change in the TES Construction SET. The Story is Great, and it has a lot of side quests! I love the adventure trough Cyrodill and i recommend the game to everyone who love TES or RPG. If you think the game is boring, after played it a lot. Try some mods as: Nehrim: at faiths edge…
