This is sent from MY dual booted ubuntu 11.04. It runs 100 % fine (so far) and seems to have everything the pc version had :)

Well this was just easy "port" darkplaces allready supported linux, so we just needed some tiny fix and way to complie. Now we haz done both and we can start developing for linux too

I quite like unity, but what is so bad about 11.04
You do know that you can change it to Ubuntu classic on the login screen to get Gnome 2 back if thats whats bugging you....

Hey would this be playable on an original modded xbox running xbmc?
I posted on Xbox Scene about you guys, with some controller mapping I believe a classic xbox port would be feasible through linux, sure beats throwing out your source half finished.
Would you consider making said port a reality in the distant future?
