Welcome to Friday update #7!

This weeks topic, the NNK Preliminary Map Preview.

The map portrays the area where after the genin pass the forest test, they had to battle it out because too many of them passed. It's a nice map for dueling and tournaments.

This map was created by imkongkong and zevensoft. The hand model created by Tryforce. Now time to gaze your eyes upon these pictures.

And for this weeks interview, imkongkong

Ok, so tell us about yourself?
I'm kong and I reside here in the US. I enjoy sports, inc, music, etc.

How long have you been following Naruto and do you only read the manga, watch the anime or both?
My friend actually gave me a CD containing the first 5 episodes of Naruto when it first came out. I never did get a chance to watch it. About 2-3 years later, the hype for Naruto was building around me and I remembered that CD. I then dusted it off and popped it in. I liked the basic jist of the anime and from then on am always up to date with the newest episodes.

I really hate how they're destroying the Naruto universe with current technology, fillers, and whatnot. I really liked the feeling of each village was made of ninjas, but they added all that nonsense of movies, fillers, etc. I used to read the manga but stopped because I hated watching the anime and thought, "I know what's going to happen, this is boring."

Are there any other animes you watch or mangas you read?
Way too many - let's leave it at that ^^

So how did you get into modding anyways?
I found the earliest beginnings of DMZ and ESF and thought, "WOW that is SO cool! 3D DBZ!" I was a hardcore dbz fan because of the art really impressed me. Plus all my friends knew about it. I enjoyed ESF more due to the easy gameplay, and stuck with it for a while. I then thought, "ESF maps are just too random and generic. We need maps that are ACTUALLY from the show." I didn't like playing in random maps that didn't resemble the actual place. So I picked up level design for ESF and created community maps. Then I joined the ESF team and here I am.

And how did you end up at NNK and what exactly do you do on the team?
I didn't like how the direction and development of another Naruto mod I was apart of was going, so I messaged all my modding buddies if they wanted to start a Naruto mod with me. So here we all are! I help create some levels as well as organizing everything for the team.

Are there any other projects you worked on in the past or that you are currently working on you would like to mention?
ESF www.esforces.com

Any last words you want to add to this before we bring this to an end?
I hope all of you are enjoying our project and will stick with it. If you are able to help out feel free to apply in the forums and we'll review your application. However do read the guidelines. Our team consists of some of the best people and I'm glad we're all working hard on this project. We're doing our best to pump out a fun, exciting Naruto mod for you, the community.

That's it for this week's update.

This is a mod for Half-Life, I don't think they have a release date yet. I'm really looking forward to this game, I will have to buy HL!

Great job!

well don´t forget we ARE working with the good ol´ HL1 engine .
i think it would be possible to a certain degree but we want to have the best looks and still a good fps rate even on slower pc´s
so this might be a nice gimick but not really neccesary imo
