Mummy’s Day Massacre is a 2-4 player couch co-op/competitive tomb raiding game for all ages. But watch out! Classic monsters stalk the halls! The game uses light humour as the players navigate the levels, dodge dangerous traps, employ magical powerups and flee fearsome foes! There are game modes planned for teamwork, as well as competitive play. The game project began as an entry into the Ludum Dare 72-hour gamejam, with the theme of ‘Ancient Technology’, and is inspired by Overcooked and Tomb Raider. Mummy's Day Massacre is 2-4 player couch co-op/competitive game for all ages. The game uses light humour as the players navigate the levels, dodge dangerous traps, employ magical powerups and flee fearsome foes! There are game modes planned for teamwork, as well as competitive play.
The content currently in the demo is a fraction of what the completed game will be. Currently it contains the first level of the first environment (Pyramid Tomb), and the game mode is Competitive Tomb Raiding. The completed game will contain 16 levels across 4 environments, 3 different game modes, 2 distinct monsters, as well as improved gameplay, with traps and powerups scattered about the levels.

The Kickstarter campaign began on the 7th November and runs until 7th December. Pledge rewards include getting one’s name into the credits, pre-ordering the game for a lower price than its retail price and helping to design characters and levels.
