yep. a seecret update notch made.
i wish he would add a way to farm monsters.
Those can also produce spiders and skeletons, but only one monster type per block. According to a friend, you can mine them and when you place it, it will become a pig spawner.
A friend of mine said that you can break them. But he never told me if you can pick them up and place them at other places. Btw, have you noticed the green stone blocks? ^^
you can with any kind of pickaxe. but once you re-place it, it will only spawn pigs.
and yes. moss. it's a decoration thing for dungeons :P
on /game when i use diamond pickaxe, it breaks, but no pickupable cage dropped :(
building mobharvester anyone? :D

I've got one of these boxed off and I harvest the Zombies, the green stones around it do nothing other then being green unless I missed a way to use it. Its scary watching the zombie inside the cage spinning fast because you know a zombie is about to spawn.
did anyone get anything good from the boxes?
I just got buckets, wheat, and some other miscellaneous items.
Wait so this thing is responsible for the ridiculous amount of enemies I keep finding?
Its insane; I'm trying to mine out this great cave but there are holes in the ceiling, and skeles, creepers, and zombies just keep dropping out of them and they wont stop. I'm still looking for their damn spawn point but they keep swarming. Its also incredibly difficult to close off their points since enemies keep coming from everywhere. Even with my food, armor, and bow + sword I keep getting arrowed to death.
I could change it to peaceful but that would ruin the challenge...
