I think this could work really well if coloured glass was implemented. Say you add dye to a glass block to get coloured glass (not exactly realistic but its just an idea), and craft glass with iron and a torch to make a lantern. If coloured glass is used, a coloured lantern is made that gives off the corresponding colour of light. Or coloured glass windows would only allow corresponding colours of light through.
so red-stone torches will finally give off red light?
nope that is the normal torches.
Minecraft is a pretty realistic game (no joke, resources, great level generator, nice physics) but this new lighting just makes it even more amazing..
Physics...really...you really did that...
if a floating peice of dirt is nice physics, then i agree lol
Hmm...purple nights...
Night becomed seeable! ( Outside i mean )

Or make a stained glass window that lets in allot of light for large builds sorta like a cathedral or church.
I'm fearing this will only be enjoyable in Fancy mode...

Is there something light on my eye? (LOL)
