its probably like the tracks. instantly when you put one next to it that's on a "turn" it will adjust and become a corner piece

That's interesting. I still would go with a tool which could cut blocks in any shape you wanted. Would be better.
Yes that would be nice, but I don't think the game/engine can support that. Plus it would require a new save file format.
It is possible, "Better than Wolves" mod did it with the tool, "the saw"
You could cut wooden planks in half, then cut that half in half, then THAT block in half.
In translation: 1 = 1/2 & 1/2 = 1/4 X 4 = 1/8 X 8 = 1/16 X 16 = and so on
they wont replace glass blocks right?
