Men of War takes place in Europe and North Africa during the height of World War II. The story takes place over three different campaigns and players take on the role of Soviet, Allied and German soldiers. Each campaign has its own scenario and structured timeline, which brings different elements of the war to life.

Read below! Planes will now try and attack the enemy, choose from slow to fast. Find any bugs, feel free to post about it. Now properly works with AS1 Use AT Rifles or Anti Aircraft Guns to take them down. Finally Anti Aircraft Guns will live up to their name.

my planes are bugggy they attack sometimes but they do not make any sound and I don't see the thing in front of the plane that is turn around ( sorry bad english )

better yet, search through your other mods and see if they have entity.set in set/interaction_entity of the other mods. They may be overwriting the entity.set from this mod.

Open up entity.set from your other mods and paste

(include "airbornez.inc")

into it. That should clear your problem.

okay, goto properties/airborne.ext and change {props "airbornez"}

to props {props "airborne"}

and

Open up entity.set from your other mods and paste

delete (include "airbornez.inc")

and paste (include "airborne.inc")

into it.

and go into airborne.inc and rename airbornez at the top of the inc file to airborne

following these steps should make your planes spawn again. sorry I had to make airborne.inc into airbornez.inc to make planes attack eachother.

airborne planes will spawn in skirmish mode, will attack infantry and tanks, but won't attack other planes in a plane vs plane battle.

airbornez planes will attack other planes like white on rice, will attack infantry and tanks, but won't spawn in skirmish when you click the plane button. and if it ever manages to get spawned by a button in skirmish mode, the wheels will be down and one shot will blow the plane up, which is what NegativeJeremy was talking about X_x.

and this is all due to some hardcoded code to limit any entity that links to an inc file via .ext props with the name "airborne" at the top to act a certain way.

I take it this works with cheatsmod!!! As thats the only way I can spawn planes into a skirmish map. Or is this for MP only???

you can also spawn planes in the editor,

open up the editor,

press f3 look up a6, and you'll see the japanese fighterjet a6m_m21_86


place that on the map and click on it,

go to properties, chassis, and on current, click on wheel and change the dropdown menu to airborne.

change the altitude from 0 to 20, and place a unit into the plane, copy with ctrl + c, paste it with ctrl + v,

start the battle and paste away! YOUR PLANES WILL BLOCK OUT THE SUN.

this is why I asked people to tell me whether it works with AS1, can you copy your default entity.set from gamelogic.pak/set/interaction_entity/entity.set and paste it here please, so I can get it to work with AS1.

Updated the mod to make planes machine guns more powerful, and give units more protection from bullets all over the plane except the cabin where bullets will fly through.

For some reason i can't get the planes to take off the ground and actually fly even though i pressed spacebar to make them take off (which is the default)
