Men of War: Vietnam is a new game in the critically acclaimed series. Two new, story-driven campaigns let you taste the explosive mix of the jungle, Hueys and rock-n-roll in early 1968.
This was a huge disapointment no multiplayer no editor no mod support!
I mean what the ****!
Campaing only 2 and to similar sometimes hard......
No big battles only 4 tanks in the hole game.
-.- thank God that modders exist!
no editor... no points
it a good game but don't have multiplayer , support for mods , and don't have editor
WTH MAN WTH?!?!?!
No Editor
No Multiplayer
No mod support
This game was a bigger let down then Red tide and to think I spent 35$ on this game!Unless they make an editor and multiplayer I'm never buying another 1C game again unless DMS is being involved in the project! I was expecting a great RTS game where I could finally explore Vietnam but nooo!
Not too great nor too bad. ALl i can say it is mediocre. Campaigns are too short, the missions let player only control on small numbers of soldier, meanwhile other series have better gameplay like AS2 that let making own army by you. Well, i hope MoW II would become a huge forwarding in among series.
This is a great strategy game. You have to micromanage your soldiers and vehicles carefully. You can personalize every soldier by changing his inventory. There are many well designed single player missions that portray a good story line. However, sometimes, this game requires too much micromanagement. You have to redo the inventory of soldier to make sure there are enough ammo. An automatic ammo refill system will be much better.
in my opinion this is a brilliant concept also a bold move to add the vietnam war era RTS, if you are a fan of the vietnam war this is definetly the game for you..
unfortunately it seems that 1C is rushing the release of this game, there's still a lot of potential that could be featured in the game itself yet only a fraction of selection between maps, units, weapons and especially vehicles and that's quite a disappointment for me as a mission creator, to make it even worse they didn't include the GEM Editor in the game itself (although they did in a newer patch of the game) but to me this shows that this game is meant to ONLY be played also is just an experimental game to review on whether people love the new vietnam concept or not.
sadly this game is not as successful as it should have
to sum it all up.. Quality over Quantity
regards, 6/10
The game is not the sharpest tool in the shed. However it works fine; the HUD is very complicated but the engine (slow and heavy) be able to manage a very large amount of models, plygons and actors.
The missions, very few but basically very interesting, are well designed.
The italian dubbing is good and the musics and sound effects are OK.
I think this game is a 7/10 rank.
Should been much more better.
Awsomeness. Pure awesomeness. Like all Men of War games the graphics are amazing. The Single player was a huge challenge compared to Assault Squad which is just braindead AI attacking over and over. Here its stealthy and commando. Don't buy this for multiplayer, if you want multiplayer go buy Assault Squad. I recommend this to all Men of War fans. Although, Men of War Red Tide was the best of all of these games, it had the most challenging missions.
