The Commonwealth is a intergovernmental organisation, mostly member states were former members of the British Empire. Most eventually declared war along with Britain against the axis.
The commonwealth forces had a diverse spectrum of nations, including The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India and many more nations represented amongst its ranks.

Far as I can remember the in game Commonwealth only represented the UK, and ANZAC, But if im not mistaken I think the engineers were supposed to be canadians or something.

yeah the Commonwealth in game is just to be politically/historically correct with regards to the name of the faction. In all other ways it doesn't actually physically or visually represent it except for the inclusion of "ANZAC", a WW1 term used sparingly in WW2. Everything else is abstracted or assumed.
Personally I would change/rename ANZAC to something either more inclusive or realistic. But I do like the change from vanilla MOW to name it Commonwealth.

the term is still used today but under Different meaning, London does not have any official control over Commonwealth states like Canada or Australia. it's meerly countries following a little tradition. Britian kind of stopped being an empire after WW I, And completley after WW II. Thank America and The Soviet Union for that. Europe pretty much became the superpower's wrestling wring, or whatever analogy you want to use

Mods are the only thing good about Assault squad.
I was ok about vanilla multiplayer but was looking forward to AS. but it hasnt offered much.
Has anyone else ended up with rediculous contrast since the last patch and shader changes? Its far to contrasted and even changing the game settings doesn't seem to fix it.
Also that DLC they sell for this is such lazy work its unbelieveable.
Skirmish scripting is rubbish.
I love Men Of War! But devs at DMS try so hard to screw it up.
Mods are so much better than the efforts they put in and then charge us for the privilege. A big shame as they spit the community for MOW with people on either game.
AHHh, now I feel much better (had to let this out after being put through playing DLC skirmish map which was appallingly bad).

Try setting your platform to PC.
