History

We are a small independent team of four with the various background and experience. Our three core members are game designer, programmer and graphic artist have been working on the project for almost two years now. All of them come from bigger companies and have substantial experience in the gaming industry with the projects entering world’s top 10 grossing games.

Being an indie team allows us to pursue our own vision of the gaming industry’s future and test our ideas and personal input and implement them in the existing ones. However, this is our first project as an indie team, which we have put a lot of time and effort into and would like to see it take off. We truly believe that our game might make a difference with it’s soft monetization and not persistent ads. We have lots of ideas on how to further develop and promote our game and we can’t wait to hear the response of the wider audience.

ON THE GAME ITSELF

We have experimented with game mechanics and created an exciting game combining Match3 with PvP which we called “Match Arena”. In our game you are matched against real players and not pre-set results or scores. Same field is given for both players with the same conditions and same possibilities. Player can see the moves of his opponent, take clues and make adjustments to his strategy. Sure, there will be some element of luck with occasional cascades and so on. But there will be more situations for assessing and thinking a couple of moves ahead. In a series of matches a “skilled” player will beat player relying on luck most of the times. And other way around: a losing player can use strategy of his opponent in the rematch.

We combined new mechanics with the proven wrapper - leagues and challenges! A player can either be the best among his friends, best in the local area or climb the global ladder.

For the beginning they will be progressing throughout leagues with the gradual introducing of new levels and elements. There also will be a “daily challenge” where you get an opportunity to become the best on the level among others. Our middle term plans are to introduce clans and regular tournaments. The wrapper is conveniently built around Match3 allowing gradual introduction and experimenting with new game modes.

WHO IS THIS GAME FOR (WHO IS OUR TARGET AUDIENCE)

The game has many layers, nevertheless, remaining simple and intuitive. Casual players will be match against other casual players, meanwhile more skilled will also meet some exciting competition and will not always have things going easy their way.

The game is targeted at casual players with the more competitive part of them also in mind. With the “soft” monetization mechanisms and not intrusive ads we would like to address the audience tired of persistent paywalls. There are no lives and game-overs - players are able to enjoy the pleasure and fun of the game as much as they want!

First feedback and collected statistics have shown great interest and involvement of our players. Younger and older audiences of both men and women showed interest and expressed their excitement about the game in the personal feedback.
