Maddening Relapse is the sequel to 2009's madnessMADNESSmadness and its 2010 followups Remaddening and the YoYo Games-published spinoff Maddening. The game is an intense endless runner with entirely procedurally-generated levels. You are a madman who simply goes by Madd Mann, and you perceive the world as a place where you run around in circles from an unrelenting wall, avoiding world gaps and spikes in the process. The wall conceals and reveals new terrain, and new to the series, wraps around the circle, always staying in view. The further you get from it, the closer you get to it! Also new to the series - the wall is unrelenting, if you are close enough to it for long enough, you will get a temporary Second Wind speed boost that allows you to distance yourself further from it but is also fairly dangerous. For GameJolt users, the game has an online leaderboard and 33 achievements. You can also post your highscores as a guest.

It's with great pleasure I bring the final first version of Maddening Relapse! With 33 GameJolt-exclusive achievements and online leaderboards, 64 poems and full procedural level generation, this is long-overdue and I hope it was worth the wait!

It's with great pleasure I bring the final first version of Maddening Relapse!

This is a sequel to the most popular game I ever did, 2009's madnessMADNESSmadness. This one's a lot better though - it features entirely procedurally generated levels, new mechanics, a far superior drawing engine (but the same minimalism as the original), 16 colour schemes to choose from in-game, and 64 poems for when you die!

It's an intense endless runner where you... well, you run around in circles! A wall is on your tail and you also have to avoid spikes and gaps in the planet-like level.

With 33 GameJolt achievements and online leaderboards this is a long-overdue game and I hope it was worth the wait!
