Firstly the bad news...
The latest build brings with it a Leaderboard reset and older profiles are not compatible. This means everyone will start at the beginning again. The reasons for this are due to save file format changes and a rebalance of the costs of upgrades and rank XP requirements.
Profiles are saved into 'MyDocuments/Saved Games' so you will be able to find them easier.
Now the good stuff...
This build features a much requested ability to now play in practice/unlimited fuel mode so you can get a feel for how the Lunar Module performs without being interupted. There is also an accurate landing mode which requires all 4 feet to be inside the pad circles before the landing pad will register the LM using this mode will net gains in the new Skill Bonus. Both of these features can be enabled on the Pilot Profile menu option. Note they cannot be enabled or disabled if a Time Trial or Mission is currently active.
Missions now have a debriefing to give you more time to review the rewards for mission completion. It includes a new Skill XP bonus which factors in the Landing Accuracy mode and what upgrades you had installed during the mission.
Using Upgrades lowers the Skill bonus, this was added to address some of the feedback about the game getting easier as you add upgrades. This should hopefully satisfy the more experienced pilots who enjoy the challenge. Note you can still buy upgrades and they can now be enabled and disabled. Again they cannot be enabled or disabled if a Time Trial or Mission is currently active.
There are many more additions, polish and bug fixes to mention and I am expecting that this will be the final beta release before the game is considered version 1.0 Gold. This is your last chance to take advantage of the 50% discount while the game is still in Beta.
