Lantern of Worlds tells the story of how a great tournament is announced, in the royal city of Idunia. The winner of the tournament will be named the new Royal Adventurer, hero and protector of the people.
Many villages and towns have send their best and bravest to compete, as it is a great honor for any village to have one of its own as the new Royal Adventurer. And you are one of them, strongest and most powerful of all the young men and women of your village.
But before you are allowed to compete, you must prove yourself worthy, and to do so, you have been given the quest to investigate the forest of Myrr, a dangerous and mysterious place. Several woodsmen have gone missing in the forest recently, and surrounding villages report strange lights and sounds coming from its depths.
Find the cause of the disturbances in the forest of Myrr, and your place at the royal tournament will be assured!
Greetings gamers and developers,
The first demo of the game Lantern of Worlds - Eastwind is now ready!
The game page can be found here!
The game tells the story of the island of Eastwind, a land troubled by recurring invasions of monsters and villains. Every four years this seems to happen, and no one knows where the monsters and evil-doers keep coming from.
In response the king and his advisors have organised a great tournament, to rid the island of all the monsters and persons of ill repute. Every four years the tournament is held, and this year, you will participate as well!
* Chose your hero and fight the good fight in exciting battles.
* Play out different stories with different protagonists. Some fighting for good, some for evil.
* Explore the island of Eastwind and the islands surrounding it.
* Travel through dense jungles, dark caves, mysterious forests, and a land underwater.
The game is part of the Lantern of Worlds universe, which I have been creating since 5 years now.
If you'd allow me some musings, I'd really like to share the following :)
Though I really like creating games, I have often felt something was missing when I finished a game, and moved on to the next. It felt like building a house, finishing it, and starting on a new one from scratch Instead of living in the house and upgrading it, building a new porch, maybe a garden, something like that.
So with this game I would like to try something new. To create a sort of tapestry, an evergoing game where I can just go on weaving new storylines and create new lands indefinitely. Without starting over from scratch every time.
A living game, hopefully, with many new chapters to come!

Have you given up? As I can see, you canceled the Kickstarter.
Are you resigned to end the effort in the womb?
Don't be discouraged.
You have some of the best writing I've seen on the internet in a long while. It's the style I'd expect to find leafing through the pages of Mark Twayne or Tolkein.
If you truly intend to give up now, please consider turning your
considerable talents to literature. I think I might enjoy reading any books you put out. As someone who has read a fair amount of novels myself,
I can see you are heavily influenced by many classic writers.
As has been said, "to be a good writer, you must be a good reader."
And if you are successful in literature, you can return to this
knowing you'll have a large fanbase to notice you.
Not to mention that you've put more effort into advertising this than I think I've ever seen before.
Hi and sorry for the late reply!
I saw your reply just now, and I must say, I am a bit overwhelmed by your praise! :)
I won't give up, but the Kickstarter thing left me a bit discouraged. But I'm back on my feet, and thanks to kind comments like yours, more determined to complete the game then ever!
Thanks very much!
