It feels a little ridiculous to write this after working on this game well over three years, but I'm finally at the point where I can really start pounding out the levels. In a typical game, I’d be aghast if it took this long to get to content creation – its simply not workable to wait this long in a commercial project. And, to some extent, that’s a bo-bo on my part. On the other hand, due to the type of game King Randall’s Party is, the mechanics of how the characters interact with the environment matter a lot more than meticulously designed levels ever will be, so level design was pretty low on my priority list.
