Michał Marcinkowski's words:
"When I was a kid I played war with my friends with little toy figures and pencil drawings. It's still fun and I would do it but you know... That's why I decided to make a multiplayer computer game. When designing it I had to take risks, because what I had in mind wasn't ever made before. Could players over the internet cooperate with each other - like ants do when building a nest and waging war on other ants. Without words, driven by an instinct and mutual
goals.
Would that work?
Would it be fun?

The result of these thoughts is King Arthur's Gold. It takes players creativity and uses that to make an immersive experience for all playing with each other.
All of the good things will happen because of other players but also many bad things will happen and it will be difficult, cause you play against other people. Which are non-scripted. This is the new way. The way games where always meant to be. We are leading a new path to what I believe games should be like. Free-form, competetive/cooperative and massively FUN. This is King Arthur's Gold."

History

King Arthur's Gold was started in 2011 by Michał Marcinkowski creator of the 2D indie classic Soldat. KAG was self-funded from the money Michał made from Soldat. It was completely self-coded, self-marketed and literally made in a bedroom. Later joined by pixel artist and co-designer Max Cahill and musician David Pencil (of PennyArcade). Initially released undercover, the game's alpha version
