Descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union. Just one month after the conclusion of the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding. Not all have given up hope though... A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together, paid for by Horzine, to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.
It's going to take a lot more than a few nuclear warheads to stop us, or the Zeds. #grindhouse
Pretty good map. There are some pretty unique elements to it which I like, for example the radio thing, the ability to enter a few windows (ramps or just jumping on things), and the whole nuclear fallout environment is just so atmospheric. The map seems big, but not too big. Would be great on a 6 player game, but still can be done solo just fine. The orange tinge is the right colour. It seems to be set in Paris but I noticed a Danish tank there. Although I have seen this in other maps, I would love to see a French flag on that instead, especially in a Paris map. I'm definitely looking forward to the final polished version.
yeah there are a few inconsistencies which i had planned on fixing but it would require some time and also increasing the file size of the map with new textures and whatnot, so i've decided to wait until the 'final' version (aka, also when the workshop comes out). i appreciate you playing my map and giving it your praise and your thoughtful critique. cheers
I didn't find any technically bug.
The design is awesome, I almost feel the radio activity from my desktop. And that alarm sounds in the final wave begins! WOW!
Well done! Up-voted by 9.
I hope I can vote more than 8 soon. :(
hehe thanks!
An excellent map that combines great visual aesthetics with actual playability with neither being sacrificed. Nuke effect is amazing and adds a bit of difficulty in seeing zeds immediately after the explosion.
Definitely my favourite map in the competition so far.
The nuke effect is awesome!
im really glad that you like the map and that it's your favorite. feels awesome, man. thanks
Great work on the lighting and location. Creating a city is one thing, but creating a destroyed city is an even tougher task and I think you did a fantastic job of creating a place that once had life in it and then nuking it to ruins.
thanks man, that means a lot coming from you!
^ This. Lighting and atmospherics are great.
thanks! i spent a lot of time trying to get it looking right
I still can't vote higher than 8. The review's block doesn't open. I reported this issue three days ago. But it still haven't replied. Sorry for the off topic. :(
Yes I have same issue unfortunately. Sometimes my vote doesn't count at all, sometimes it's stuck on a number I didn't want.
no sweat, i appreciate you guys trying to rate it higher tho :D
Hello
We've found a bug in the map... Big zeds getting stuck in the ambulance under the tunnel

thanks, this has just been fixed in the new version
little zeds could get stuck too. it was due to a blockingvolume not being enabled to block zeds for some reason (i guess i missed it)
very nicely looking map, looks like mars :)
Hi
The volumetric of the bar radio sound is too large I think, can hear it underground.
noted, i'll change it in the next update
Greetings!
My team is glad to show you Hans beaten in HOE on your map :)
Thanks for your great work!
