KarBOOM is a fast-paced local multiplayer car-combat game for Windows, Linux and Mac. Knock other players out the ring, chase the flag, play kar football, and bet on how long you can survive with everyone hunting you! Play in teams or every kar for itself!
KarBOOM Open Alpha 0.3.4 will introduce "king of the hill" along with some bug-fixes and other tweaks.
"king of the hill" is my new favourite mutator (besides "boost", of course, which just goes with anything).
Each level has a glowing ring designating the "hill" which pulses at regular intervals (twice a second normally, or once every two seconds in life-limit mode). In score-based modes, each pulse will award a point to each car within the hill. In life-limit mode, each pulse will take a life away from each car on the ground outside the hill -- that's my favourite way to play it, but each mode plays differently and is fun for different reasons.
KarBOOM Open Alpha 0.3.4 will be released this Wednesday, December 7th.
