Leaving the gun barrel now! The Sprial Groove Bundle with Sniper Elite V2, Gatling Gears, Bloody Trapland and Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death.

Posted by on

The Spiral Groove Bundle is this week’s tantalising collection of hard-hitting titles from Indie Royale. Four games -- Sniper Elite V2, Gatling Gears, Bloody Trapland and Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death -- from developers both large and small. There's also a great bonus album from Dj CUTMAN - Lost Beats and Found Friends - for those who beat the $8 price.

Sniper Elite V2
Rebellion’s Sniper Elite V2 is a first person shooter, set in World War 2, that emphasises stealth and precision over the usual all-guns-blazing approach of the contemporary video game shooter. Described by Digital Spy as “well thought out…with much to love [for any] headshot enthusiast or stealth fan” the game tracks each bullet fired in slow-motion as it twists through the air, even providing grisly X-Ray visuals to show a bullet’s entry point on its target. Gruesome perhaps, but the presentation raises the pressure in a game that eschews corridor fire fights in favour of tense ducks and crawls through the rubble of a falling Berlin.
Sniper Elite V2 is available for Windows via Steam only.

Gatling Gears

Developed by the team behind the award-winning Greed Corp, Gatling Gears from Vanguard Games is a steampunk shoot ‘em up featuring collapsing land, walker units and warring factions. Cast as Max Brawley, players must work to defeat a monopolistic corporation that is depleting the world of its natural resources in a game about which IGN said “mowing down hordes of tiny men ... is just as satisfying as it sounds”. Equally enjoyable in both single and co-operative multiplayer modes, Gatling Gears is a robust and varied twin-stick, mech-based shooter.
Gatling Gears is available for Windows via Steam only.

Bloody Trapland

Bloody Trapland is a fast-paced multiplayer platform game from 2Play Studios featuring over 100 levels filled with dangerous traps and risky jumps. Playable with up to four friends both online and locally in an expansive co-operative campaign, the game comes with online scoreboards, three different game modes, four playable characters and dozens of hours’ worth of gameplay. A challenging game, despite its simplistic visuals Bloody Trapland even won the 2011 Game Design Challenge.
Bloody Trapland is available for Windows, both DRM-Free and via Desura.

Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death

Based on the popular, long-running 2000AD series of comic books, Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death, also from Rebellion, sees players take to the 22nd Century streets of Mega-City One in a mission to take out the nefarious Death Cult, a group plotting to free the evil Dark Judges from their holding chamber in a Justice Department penitentiary. You play as the titular Judge, blasting your way through 11 levels’ worth of vampires and zombies. A co-operative mode and a clutch of unlockable arcade missions combine with 16-player online multiplayer to deliver a hefty dose of rough justice to every PC.
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death is available DRM-free for Windows and via Steam.

The Bundle Album Bonus

The bundle bonus album is from Dj CUTMAN, the pioneer chiptune producer. Bringing years of experience as an audio engineer into the DJ world, CUTMAN samples classic video games infusing his creations with dubstep, electro, hiphop and soul influences. Bundle bonus album Lost Beats and Found Friends represents the very best of his work: old school but effortlessly fresh. Beat the $8 price to get this bonus album.

Indie Royale associating with Desura? Indie Royale is run BY Desura. *facepalm*.

Plenty of Groupees bundled games have be desura keys as well, at least IR automatically adds them to your desura account with a single click, unlike the ****** key application system of Steam.

Well, not quietly...Desura have 50% of IR, but yes, it can be said, that IR is Desura bundle, just that i talking about.
Desura automatic key application, btw, is not THAT great thing because if you have in lib game already that present in IR this extra will go vain. Just like in previous Humble Bundle. And HIB stopped doing that.
Even worse, Steam keys in Royale IS separate...but desura key is one-for-all. Its just like they saying "Desura is secondary" itself. Maybe such scheme helped to compete with HIB prion, but its not a case for long time already.
And, you know, i dont see a big problem to redeem my Desura keys from Groupees at all.
Back to topic - that i against is giant amount of Steam keys in IR bundle. Steam-only games, i mean.

Personally, I'm indifferent on what platform you offer the games, as long as you offer as many ways as possible (eg. not giving a steam key if it's on steam).

What I really dislike is the new habit of holding back games the way every other bundle site does! I thought you guys were different, offering up a nice compact bundle at a reasonable price with quality games, rather than playing stupid marketing games.

The advantage Humble Bundle gets from holding back games is twofold. Firstly, it usually almost doubles the size of the bundle, adding several news-worthy games. Secondly, It encourages early buyers in that any added games are BTA for anyone who buys after, but buying early means you'll get the new games at no extra cost, regardless of your initial payment.

If you think you're getting the first advantage, you're deluding yourselves. If you think we're getting the second, you're downright mental.

When I buy something, I don't want to be gambling. Stop it with the dishonest timers adding more days, and holding back games that your customers have already paid for, it's really lousy behavior from you guys.

I am quite annoyed.
I regularly purchase bundles on indieroyale sight unseen cause it's a great deal in general. I'm busy enough sometimes I don't get to the bundle for a month or two.
I've skipped a few bundles because of the hassle of having to make an extra account on site_x. But usually, there's a warning that you have to register with site_x to activate your game.

I'm ticced off - gatling gears gives you a choice: either signup for EA's accounts, or don't play the game. This should have been mentioned before purchasing.

Refinement: I want this freaking origin taint off my steam account >.<

I don't understand why you're angry against IR. You buy games and you have choice between multi-host (Steam, Desura, Free DRM, CD-Key(stand-alone without provider) ).
You can choose what you want.... depend availability on the market.
