A survival shooter set in Central Asia after the end of civilization.
Part of the "Explosives update" coming soon, to moddb. The shrapnel itself has a sort of hard time of hitting you, so I might throw in some tiny shrapnel (essentially bullets) that comes out as well.
Wooooh thats some cool particle work right there.
"Booom! Wa-aa-aa-aa!"
Nice! INS-mod should have RPG like this.
tell the new ins developers tht i would like to see tht 2
Just a heads up, those rocks will be replaced with something smaller + fitting with the terrain (concrete chunks for instance on concrete)
I would hope so... giant rocks under sand are odd. It will look great on pavement and stuff.
but sand shouldnt send rocks flying
desert sand doesnt have many rocks on it (i know sand is just rock powder, but u get what i mean)
Yes indeed this is so. I think shrapnel should be decreased by quite a bit if on sand. Taking note of your previous accomplishments, this task shouldn't be difficult. I expect it to be on my desk (this moddb page) sometime this week.
Excellent work, I can't wait to mess with this myself xD
Very cool
impressive
The craters look off for now, they should be lower and wider. They just look like piles of dirt.
I'll agree with that, I also think something needs to be done to eliminate the 'rolling' appearance of the debris. Right now they kinda look like someone's bowling at you, maybe tone down the particles following them.
Still, great work, I'd like to see how this works/looks when fired at a wall rather than the ground.
I agree, it seems like the rocks should have more of an upwards force applied so they go flying up. That would help prevent the bowling ball effect.
If you pause immediately after the explosions (particularly the one at 50 seconds in) you can clearly see that some of the debris does in fact have an upward trajectory
I think a big long lasting cloud of dust should appear if the explosion happens on dust, dirt, sand or something related.
This is officially my most anticipated FPS genre mod for HL2 right now. Keep up the originality!
But, but....what about Black Mesa Source?....
Oh sorry, I forgot....Its never coming out
Why is the RPG not smoothed at all?
Now that looks really nice.
Although a bit unrealistic that you get hit by pieces of rock when you're over 500m away and the rocks keep on rolling for meters.
I think most of the debris should go the direction the rocket hit the target.
I WANT A DEMO NOOW!
amazing work
noice
so it'll still spawn the rocks and do damage even on displacements right? Just no crater?
That has got to be one of the coolest things I have ever seen, win.
Jesus H Christ. That is epic.
absolutely amazing work guys!
How's the performance with all the physobjects from the sharpnel?
you guys are making history
cool video bro
looks very cool, and again, very realistic.
i just wonder, 72 phycic rock models flying away, will this not bring the fps down (to a to low performance on low end pc's,)
personaly my pc can handle it easely, but there are still loads of players out there that game with low end pc's, and they always start complaning about such issues.
other then that, i LOVE it, great work!
leon
That looks ******* sweet! Nice to see you guys are taking time to do things right.
This mod is so awesome... there's no denying it.
very nice effect, I like that the RPG rocket is fast, too!
Now THAT is awesome!
Wow, pretty nice.
The animation was a bit flawed.
And won't 72 spawning at once be a bit too much? And will they always be of such size and shape?
awesome, to the max.
Very realistic, I've heard from people who served in the army that sometimes you can get hit by shrapnel from a hand grenade at a distance of 30 meters... I has happened very few times, but still...
Just like a real explosion, there should be custom sounds simulating the rocks falling.
<Just some feedback, if it haven't been pointed out already>
The last second of the video...
... a failed rocketjump ? ;-)
(Just needs a disclaimer : Don't try this at home!)
GORGEOUSE!
