railgun?
Looks like railgun/shotgun thing to me.
Well, if you look at the round they show, it looks like a shotgun shell using solids (could be lead rods though?), and the breach looks belt-fed, with a covered ejection port. The barrel looks normal, only the equipment mounts are all round, which is fairly normal these days. Top hardware is obviously a camera with infra red LEDs so the shooter can see his targets in the dark on the small screen while laying down copious amounts of solid shot. It also has a clip port so it can be used as a BAR style weapon also. Might be way off though on all of it... lol
That said, excellent design, model and textures...
I think it's a powerful buckshot-using rifle with a laser pointer & heat-/night-vision scope, rather than a railgun.

Its a rail gun, my guess is it will serve a sniper role with the special ability that this gun doesn't have bullet drop.
It would be awesome if it was a railgun that fired electrified rounds, arcing between the barrel of the gun and the round it's self, creating awesome lightning-tracers.
Corner shot rifle? Theres a hinge near the handle and a camera at the front to allow for vision around corners, the S.W.A.T use guns like this in raids.

It fires bullets or something because theres an ejection port and magazine. It can't be a shotgun because It only has one tube. So my guess its either a guass type rifle or maybe a taser thing.
