ak-47 sniper version?
pretty cool, kind of like how the mosin-nagant was actually actually a ftont line rifle until ww2 when snipers used it.

why dont u use AK-74 instead?
AK-47 came around in, guess what, 1947, the mosin-nagant was converted into a sniper rifle back in '36.
and it had already been around since 1891.
If it's WW3, why not use the AK-102 or 110?

You realise it remained a front-line rifle, right? Converting issue rifles to marksman or sniper rifles is actually pretty common, and has been so since WWI or thereabouts

I think it has some balls to use the AK in a different role. How many games have we seen with a Dragunov in it? Would've wanted a stock loadout of weapons you've played with hundreds of times before?
The scope may be optional (Likely seeing how one of the AK's don't have it). And really, no, it shouldn't ever replace a Dragunov in the role of a sniper weapon, especially not seeing how the Dragunov was originally made to fill the role as a marksman rifle, to be used in a squad (Where other soldiers are equipped with AK's) to increase it's effective range.
Which in fact make it a rifle developed to replace the AK for long range shots.
I'm not saying they're wrong to put a scope on it though. But if the choice for a sniper rifle is between an AK with a scope, and a Dragunov, with or without scope, the choice should always be the latter.
I own an AK, they are great rifles.
That said, most rifles do not have a picatinny rail mounted on the topcover like yours does.
Russian Kalashnikovs have a rail mounted on the left hand side of the reciever.
AK-47's do not have side scope mounts like an AKM or AK-74 has, so it's accurate the way it is.

Why do people assume that just because the rifle has a scope that it's automaticly a "sniper rifle"

Beautitful model. Maybe a nit pick, but on the AK-47 the bolt was a shiny polished color, not painted black. There should be 4 holes in the gas tube. I like the bakelite magazine.
