At first we were like...

But then we were like...

And now we're...

Hey everyone! So, around May 9th our Kickstarter was unsuccessfully funded. You can visit our old campaign here.

Before we started our campaign we had about 300 Facebook fans. 290 of which were family and friends of the combined ForwardFor team. We researched social media marketing, read thousands of articles on things we should and shouldn't do and tried our hardest to expand our fan base. However we are not social media experts, we are artists.

We sent hundreds of emails to reviewers, YouTubers and parents. Some of which reviewed the alpha demo of Inochi Project. We asked former Kickstarter funders for feedback before the project went live. This was very useful and we made changes where we agreed necessary. We plugged, marketed, spread the word of Inochi as far as we could go. We even visited a few schools so the students could do some bug-testing. It was great to see the students reaction and interest in the game!

Kickstarter launched. 30 days later... we were unsuccessfully funded. Was it hopeful? Trying to fund an online kids game via Kickstarter? Some would say so. We tried and it didn't work. As great as it would have been to be funded, that was not the end of Inochi Project. Nor do we regret doing it.

Kickstarter was great for us, it pushed us to make the demo, it made our ideas clearer, the team came together and we sat down and started to fully understand the depth of our product. We've had time to review our Kickstarter and the game and there are a few things we could have done differently but we can't guarantee that would have changed the outcome.

However! T'is not over. We are making the game, in all it's glory. Great things are happening and Inochi Project is going to be ace. I wish I could tell you more but for now, this is what you need to know.

If you have any questions, leave us a comment on any of these sites and we'll be sure to get back to you. We hope you're as excited as we are and can't wait to keep you updated with all the cool development that is happening.

If you are interested in the development of Inochi Project you can see our updates on Facebook,Twitter and IndieDB. Thank you for all the support.
In rust, we trust.
