The debut game from Magnetic Realms, "Inescapable" is a Sci-Fi action adventure in which players unravel the mystery uncovered by a remote interplanetary mining operation. What did they find? What threat does it pose? And ultimately, what does it truly mean to be a hero?
Hi everyone,
Version 1.1 of Inescapable is now available here on Desura. These are the main updates/changes:
The game was also recently featured in the German magazine "Retro", and was reviewed by French retro site Ordi Retro, who also did an interview with me about the development of the game.
More recently, Matthew Zulawski of the excellent Metroidvanias Tumblr awarded the game "Best PC Metroidvania You Didn't Play of 2013", and it was also featured as a notable game in Indiegames.com's Top 10 Indie Horror Games of 2013.
Magnetic Realms is pleased to announce the launch of Inescapable on Desura! Check out the reviews and gameplay video below.

Hello
There is a room in which a red big monster is behind a block which raised when I jump on a buttom in the floor. The block stays up just for a few second the best I do is to get in but I cannot get outside afterwards.
Do I need a special equipment? Because I do not find anything.
Thank you
I did it. There are other living beings....
Awesome , an incredible game man CONGRATULATIONS !! :3 , somoane recommended this to me and is awesome , great story , an awesome temathic , and a cool playbility , nice work man ;D .
Please tell me, is there only one ending? I wonder if I should replay it, maybe I didn't understand the whole thing.
Really hoping the developer will come back to me on this one:
I've found a game breaking bug. After going down on the air stream with the pot full of water you go to the right and find a locked door; at that point a bunch of enemies spawn and one will drop a key. I equip said key but when I try to open the lock, it still says "I need a key to open this door". I've explored everything else and I simply can't progress now :(
If it says "I need a key..." that means you've pressed the "look" button to examine the lock. You need to press the "use" button to actually use the key. Hope that helps!
Hi, thanks for replying. I knew that much though, I'd opened quite a few locked doors before reaching that point in the game-- I literally tried all the buttons, but it kept giving me that message regardless. Thankfully I had a hard save from about 15min earlier in the game, so I was able to replay that section and finally got past it that time.
That was the only bug I've encountered in the game; I've been having a ton of fun with it otherwise. Love the visuals and the minimalistic sounds give it an eerie feel. Looking forward to your next project as well :)
Okay, finish the game. Same impression than before. The facts that there is no final boss and that a lot of questions are unanswered (Who is She? I thought that we gonna fight her but finally not.) disappoint me.
Except if there is another ending, but I think not, since I opened all the door except the one of the Belar's grave, and don't see how to open it since we use everything.
And found the bug. (Sorry, For the quadruple post. Can't edit) If you load a save from the ritual chamber (or continue with the auto-save), the door don't open. You need tu return to the room before and return to the ritual chamber.
