"It is my misfortune to have to be the one who writes these words. The simple fact that you are reading these words means that you must be dead. Worse still, it means that you are not in Heaven… no indeed, you are far from it. But do not fear, because while these words may, by their nature, signify a rather gloomy fate, they are also words of hope. In this Diary, I am providing you a chance to free yourself from the prison of your own making… in return, you will free me from mine."

Poor Isaac... you have to feel bad for the man. Accidentally kills his family in a psychotic rage... kills himself with the assurance he is forgiven and will get to heaven... winds up ultimately in Purgatory, alone and with only his regret to provide him company. But he needn't fear. There is still hope. If that's what you call making a pact with the Devil.

"Imperfection" is a story of Human and societal corruption, and the ways in which we overcome them. You are tasked with freeing the five pieces of an unnamed man's soul... in return, he will free you from Purgatory. Solve environmental and psychological puzzles, use your resources, keep your wits about you and, most importantly, survive. What other choice do you have? Just remember: Where strength fails, fear becomes your greatest ally.
