Spent many hours on it - got to know some friends. ;-) A bit outstanding with its sea warfare joined with land one (e.g. you couldn't/can't invade somebody's town with troops if you don't occupy his port / sea ways).
Overall design is interesting. Also, sharing islands with your neighbours, whether they are neutral or hostile is groundbreaking - the amount of resources generated for you depends on the level of SHARED mines of the islanders.
That means that to have more resources, you need to donate more! :-)
It's one of Ikariam's fantastic features that you don't find in other (browser-based) games. Or at least you'll find them very rarely...
