You are Roku, the Demon Girl. A mysterious oni named Sam releases you from your icy bondage in the lowest level of Hell and helps you to escape by telling you were to go next and how to break through barriers to the upper levels. There are 9 Circles in Hell and therefore 9 distinct areas which Roku must race through to rise from the Underworld and once again walk the Earth. Each area will contain 4 stages, amounting to 36 levels of high speed action. Race against the clock, running down demons and monsters in your path, grabbing powerful, speed-increasing tokens, and avoiding all of the traps the Dark Lord and his minions put in your way. It is within your power to feel the warmth of the living world once again, but you must go NOW.

Kickstarter Alert!
ONLY TEN DAYS LEFT!

In the last 3 days we've gained another 5% of the necessary funding. It's not impossible for the game to get to 100%, but it will take every single backer we can find to do it in the next 10 days! If you like the project and you want the game to see the light of day then please take a moment and become a backer using the widget below! Thank you for your support!

Greenlight Update!

The Steam Greenlight page has hit 650 votes! We're almost 10% of the way to the top 50! Woo hoo! If you haven't already, take a moment and log into Steam Greenlight and vote YES for History of the Demon Girl! Thank you! You wouldn't think so, but just 1 vote really does get the game a lot closer to the top, so if you can spare the time, please do!

Dev Update!

I was able to steal some time today and finally cut an Official Trailer for the game! There actually hadn't been one yet other than the Kickstarter Video, but that had a lot of other things going on in it. This video is much cleaner, much shorter, and all around better in my opinion. Check it out!

I think it packs a lot more punch than the original did and really gets you feeling the speed of the game, no? I'll be doing another one in the next few days with some of the more recent art.

Speaking of which! The last update talked a lot about Heaven, but right now I'm gonna take us back down to Hell and show you one of the backdrops that I've been working on. It's going to appear in the background of the 8th Circle's Break Level and I think it's coming along quite nicely. What do you think?

Speaking of the 8th Circle, if you're one of the people who's a fan of the game's soundtrack, you'll be happy to hear that I've also been working on a new song for the game. It's for the 8th Circle's intro and you can listen to it below:

I'm trying to keep all of the levels separate in style, tone, and gameplay. I think it will make a big difference. So what do you think about all of this? Hit me up in the comments with your thoughts. And if you like what you see, please become a backer!

Thanks for reading! :D
