Highschool Madness is a free roam game that will allow you to do almost anything possible to either be the good student or the bad student. Of course, the setting in this game is a High School, but not only a High School, but there's a vast world to explore, like shops, alleyways, and even buildings! Yep, I'm making it possible to go through EVERY building and have a use towards it, unlike some games where It's acting like a wall.
Pathfinding AI
Hello everyone, Ian here, and after 3 weeks of constant work, (Really its been 9 months but usually I've been playing more games than I should have aka given up for a bit) It's finally finished! I'm glad I finally made this! Now all I need to do is to compress the code and make it runnable for Highschool Madness, and hopefully progress on without any worry's.
Also ever since Ludum Dare 30, I've been making programming a habit now :D

What would I expect in the next news update?
- Compress the Path finding AI
- Import it to Highschool Madness
- Test it out
- If it works, then make a "class" session system.

I mean, I know its horrible and cliche. But if you read the title, you can start to picture what the game will be about. I mean its a highschool that can also bring alot of madness in your players life :3
Would you care to suggest some ideas?
You could name it after the school. It could be something like "(name) academy" or "(name) high."
Well the thing is, is that in the game, you'll be able to go to different places/schools. Its not limited by one. But I see what you mean though :3 great idea :D
Regarding the whole open world concept:
Just how big is the world going to be?
I know it consists of a school atm, but will it be limited to a single town or is it going to just be a school or what is the plan here?
I know the game is coming along slowly based on the News posts, but have you spent a lot of effort planning the world map design and not just the whole player system?
Well what I want to do in the full release is to make ALOT of towns, like probably up to 18 towns. But for now, I need to limit myself on the AI and once that is finished, then I can start building the town piece by piece :D
What all types of buildings will you include in these different towns? Will they have special features etc? Makes me think of Stick RPG regarding this style.
Well, they'll be shops, houses, abandoned houses, etc and yes the houses aren't just for decorations, they'll have their own unique quest/storyline behind it :3
Sounds like it'll take a really long time considering the amount of creativity it'll require to be able to make all the plots interesting. When do you consider the first release date to be (for the demo)? Fall 2014?
Well if nothing holds me back like the AI, then It can be closely possible :D
