Description
A collection of some the best half life replacement models (Blue Shift,and Opposing force also) for the single and multiplayer games while trying to keep the Half Life feel and look intact. Replaces almost all the models with HD versions. Extract to your steam\steamapps\[username}\half-life directory. If you have the HD pack from steam installed you must uninstall it to see these. These came from other packs and single models I found and picked out the best ones (according to me lol) , this is part of a much bigger pack with texture replacements coming soon. Updated 7/31/2012 more updates and tweaks from me and kingennio. Suggestions welcome.

Do you have Halflife or Halflife:source? This wont work for HL:S.

oh yeah, forgot steams HD pack must be uninstalled first. Had the same problem when I started this.
The BS pack Wont Work ive put it in the bshift folder and nuthin happend.

y2keeth, it would be great if you could put the same effort to assemble an "ultimate pack" for opposing force and blue shift as well, gathering the best out there and reusing what can be reused in your great valve pack!
I probably will, I have to finish this one first. This is just a small part of it, working on the texture replacements and other things. So far its 850mb of updates. Just combining all the great work I found thats been done into one single download while keeping the original Half-life feel.
that's great news! I wonder where you found the HiRes textures, I've always only seen model replacements, never new textures. I can't wait to get your pack!
there are a few texture packs, most are peices or just details. Using the detail texture feature to replace the wad textures with 24bit tga's. I am combining them and modifying the wad file to work right with them and not mess up mapping and such. Even making a few myself to replace ones I dont like at all. Their will be 2 shortcuts tho, one for single player and one for multi player due to a issue. The big pack will have these textures, models, music (same just higher bit rate) and sound replacements.

I updated it 2/29, but yeah I have done some more to this I will upload in a few days (matching hud graphics, more texture tweaks, fixed a sound issue, better sprites). A month or so I should be able to put up the full pack as a different download, lots to do on that one.

oops, thats a screw up actually. I forgot to fix the texture mode when I recompiled. It will be fixed in the next version.

Will these work with Half Life Generation Edition non Steam Version?
It should work so long as its the goldsource engine, it wont work with the source engine (aka HL:S).
I have a question to everyone. I have certain models that I am working on that are combinations of mutilple models, for instance the zombie.mdl I have has several others in the same mdl (zombie barney, zombie soldier, etc). These are for my mod of the single player game adding more characters to it. The question is should I add those into this pack as well or not? They would still work the same just would be larger files in the stock game.

Both, changes all the single and multiplayer models. Also includes a lot of higher poly player models for DM.

Some models are the same as Diamonds, some are the same from the Overhaul pack, allot of them are not. Some have been tweaked by me or kingennio. This has more models than any of them for HL, OF, and BS.
y2keeth, please remove from this pack all models, which were edited by me (Qwertyus) for Half-Life Overhaul Pack. All information about those models is included in Overhaul Pack's Readme. Use any other models for your "collection".

Can anyone comment on whether this is better than Valve's HD pack?
Valves pack came out in 2001, these are much higher poly and newer.
pack is great but most of the player models aren't totally compatible with hl v1126 their have buggy hands and sometime no death animation.
I will go thru and remove those, thanks for the heads up.
