The Second Day....... Having survived the first day since the breakdown of all communications, and having hidden all night amid some rubble in the wartorn town, you awake to the cold steel light of day. All seems quiet, but you sense the imminent presence of danger. As you hid, in the night, you overheard passing soldiers laughing about the approaching forces of Nato and how such forces would meet a miserable fate as they approached the Town. For they explained how the Bell Tower controlled all approaches and that they still had one Sikorski chopper left. The combination of the Bell Tower and the chopper would make mincemeat of an unsuspecting enemy.... Since you have no means of communication and, thus, no means of alerting your forces, you know that you have but one choice. Take out the Bell Tower and the chopper as well..... But first, you must find a weapon. The enemy is all around you and you must move on through the town. The chill of the Balkan winter pervades your very being. God help you, soldier. Some Design Notes: Like Kosovo2K, this is also a stark and dramatic map. It really has no features other than as a theatre for war. The lighting is intense and the textures are employed to create almost a sense of the "black and white" nature of war. The map has no "gizmos"; it does not even have an exit. There really is no way out... (There will be an exit when I finish this series....). You can see where the exit will go. I tried to make the map look more like a documentary than a piece of glitzy fiction. Nothing glamorous here - but I think it has an excitement of its own. There is no climax or point to this map. It is designed to be pointless, and is no more than what it is claimed to be: a shoot-out, in a valiant endeavour to save your approaching comrades.
