An archive containing necessary files for implementing cremator and combine guard NPCs for your HL2 mods. I coded the cremator and he has an attack based on the immolator weapon from the leak. I also fixed the combine guard code up a bit so that he's killable. Feel free to use this wherever you see fit!

Can you help out? I copied the source code but as far as I remember I have to modify some of the original code so the game can recognize the npc's when the dll's are compiled.
Can you at least give an example what file I have to modify and what I have to write down?
Can you just share the dll with the npc's already compiled?
PS: by the way, is this based on 2013 version of the sdk?
What did you do to make the combine guard killable? The way you're supposed to kill them is using the gravity gun to throw large props at them.

For anyone downloading this (in 2019, no less) the instructions aren't superb if you've never compiled your own code before. You'll need to setup your own codebase (just read the Source SDK 2013 page on the VDC wiki).
Once you have your code all set up and compiled for the first time, you can take the source cpp's from this mod and stick them into the sp/src/game/server/hl2/ folder, and then add them to the project by opening the solution, and then navigating to "Server (Episodic)/Source Files/HL2 DLL/" and right-click on HL2 DLL and then Add the Existing Item.
Open up the npc_cremator.cpp file. If it asks about normalizing line endings, click yes. Now change the m_bloodColor to BLOOD_COLOR_GREEN. After that, find the "CBaseEntity *pGun" line and comment the whole line out or it will fail to build. After doing all of this, it should now compile fully and you can grab the compiled DLLs for your mod.
