Ghost SEED is a free to play Massively Multiplayer location-based game for Android, currently in beta, that takes place in the present day and is played out across the globe. Players assume the role of new operatives working for one of three organizations competing for influence through the use of applied quantum physics. Resource collection, combat and territorial conquest all take place on a map in the game client. Ghost SEED is currently in late public beta and available on the Android app store, with an iOS release scheduled for late 2012.

Description

Screenshots showing the new game UI, as well as the new low-energy mode: one of the limitations of the game in the past has been that it's a location-based PVP game. If there's no one in your area, there's no one to play with. We've added the concept of energy density. The more SEEDs there are in an area, the higher the density. The less SEEDs, the lower the density. Players reach, and the range of their SEEDs, starts to grow as the energy density goes down. At its extreme, players can compete with people hundreds of miles away. As the number of SEEDs rises (from more players joining in an area), the energy density goes up, and the ranges of players goes down. This brings in a natural progression where the game evolves from a sparse-player game where you don't have to move around much to a heavy-player game where your position really matters.
