This is a single player experience for all terminator fans using the unreal engine III by Epic Games. set in the year 2029 you are placed in the boots a of soldier serving for humankind against the ruthless army of machines. The final campaign will feature nine chapters of a roller coaster ride, inspired by James Cameron's masterpiece franchise.
Confront the many killing machines at skynet's disposal including the HK aerial, the HK tank, the mini HK, and the legendary T800 with an arsenal of futuristic plasma weapons.

This demo is of a game that is still a work in progress. the purpose of this release is to show the community where the project is at. the demo should only last at about 5-10minutes. Important! if your monitor doesn't support 1280x720, then open configuration file in ":C\UDK\Fps Terminator Alpha Demo V1.0\UDKGame\Config" called "UDKengine.ini" use the find (Ctrl+F) and search for "ResX" or "ResY" If you are using an nvidia graphics card, I highly recommend that you use the 190.62 drivers from nvidia. It's been reported by Epic games themselves that the unreal development kit is having performance issues with nvidia's latest drivers. change those values to something that is supported on your monitor. The readme for this download will come in a separate download.

Its broken.
It starts up, I my monitor flashes with "Signal out of range" and I can't close it once I get out of it, logging out of windows fixed it.
what's the resolution of your monitor?

Thats the problem, it doesn't support that.

Quick question: to uninstall, do I just delete the folders containing the game files? because the uninstall file in \binaries\InstallData is just a 16x16 image file.
you have to remove it by going to the "programs and features" in the "control panel"

ok heres my problem:
I downloaded it and everything was fine, but near the end of the installation process this application error come up saying:
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000034)
My only option is to exit it, and when I try and play, the same amessgae come up, and it shuts down on me

I launch it and it opens. The screen is black. then it goes into this windowed mode, and then crashes??

for me its unplayable...
Getting an average of 2-3 fps on this... All UE3 games have run at around 45 fps. What did you do, man? lol.
Plus I try to open a map in udk, and it just crashes.

Works fine for me, but the gameplay is very hardcore. Two rounds of ammo can hardly kill T800, but that's ok (these machines are so tough). YOu can always use grenades. When the T800 grasps you for the first time... wow, that's intense. I nearly got a heart-attack ;P
Also I think that the color palette could be more blue-ish... it will remind me more of two first Terminator movies.
Anyway - great job! I really appreciate all that incredible work you've done. Keep it up!
I can't get ingame... :\ It installed fine and launches like its going to work then goes to a black screen and then minimizes to the desktop, and yes my monitor supports the resolutions it goes up to 1920 x 1080. A solution would be nice :).
Okay I finally got it to open by clicking when the screen goes black but there is a red hue on everything and makes it almost impossible to see what is going on. The hud doesn't show up unless I hit the ESC button and bring up the menu then put it away. Great work from the videos but I'm a little bummed. All in all it is an Alpha. :)
Question, in the other download you posted, you had had an image of controls for the keyboard and xbox 360, does that mean your finding a way to play this mod/game on xbox 360.

I'm having the same problem of xalener. When I enter to the menu it runs very slow, and also in the game. I got the last nvidia drivers (257.21). Could be for that?

Hey people! I'm working on a patch that will fix some of the problems you guys are experiencing. I can't fix the framerate problem because that is something with the engine, not the game. Epic games are working on that for you guys.
but for the next patch I plan to have things that will make the game less difficult. and more playable.

Really choppy and feels impossible to do anything.

Everything renders perfectly, but gameplay is practically impossible. Also, nothing seems to come out of the gun, and I had to pause and un-pause for the HUD to appear

The random dying out of nowhere is fun. But the Hud appears if you hit Esc then Resume.
I think the game feels better than MoH beta though. Keep up the brilliant work!

I have the GTX 285 as well.. but i'm getting great fps out of it at 1920x1200 - same kinda specs as well, so i'd think that the problem would be drivers or some other incompatability withing your system

This has gotta bee the FASTEST downloaded game on MODDB ever, I mean 3 days and 13,000 downloads, awesome
It looks nice and runs just fine on my PC but I have 2 comments:
1. Way too hard. maybe I'm just a wuss but it's so hard that I find it too frustrating to play and so I quit. I think many people will do that. In your gameplay footage you must have played it in god mode because I die every few feet before I quit playing the demo. As a fellow modder/designer, my personal opinion is not to play test or record video of your levels in god mode because you don't get a good feel of the difficulty. If you didn't then you are an amazing player.
2. Please make the opening cutscene skippable after the first time. Every time I died I had to wait through the cutscene which was very tedious.
These are just my opinions though. Do with them what you will.

That's just a small recap of some of my adventures in the mod. Performance wise, it ran just fine for me. I've a Core 2 Quad, 4GB of ram and a geforce 9600GT with driver 257.21
