Are you really suppose to just die in a seven month?... It's like 10 jumps or maybe a bit more, really strange.
According to dicussion on forums it's a "feature"... you should have wrote about it in big letters in a game description and in demo... really cheap trick to "raise" replayability.
From this perspective, I don't see a much of difference between full and demo versions.
